tangub has an awesome concept but the props and the backdrop sucks…wla sila nagkadungan….pero in the end nice japun and sinanduloy..keep up the spirit

but siloy still remains the most applauded

I am a Cebuano living in Ketchikan, Alaska, USA. I was not able to attend the 2010 Sinulog Festivities but I kept my candles lighted on the Sunstar Sinulog Edition aside from having my children sending me some pictures of the Grand Parade.
One question though, there are lots of Filipinos, mostly Cebuanos here in Ketchikan working in various Fish Processing companies. I was wondering if where can we buy a CD copy of the Sinulog Grand Parade which we are thinking to show to the whole Ketchikan residents a Sinulog Dance group which will be formed during the July 4th parade of 2010.
If Nini Cabaero or any Sunstar correspondents can please relay to me via my email address: joeygarcia_jmg@yahoo.com, please state how much so that I can have a copy to present to the Mayor of Ketchikan and form a high school student group to do the presentation.
We will be sending an invitation letter to Ace Durano and Mayor Tommy Osmena to attend the July 4th Independence Day celebration here in Ketchikan, Alaska for the year 2010.

Sinulog is a dance ritual in honor of the miraculous image of the Santo Nenyo. The dance moves two steps forward and one step backward to the sound & beat of the drums. This movement resembles the current (Sulog) of what was known as Cebu’s Pahina River. Thus, in Cebuano, it’s Sinulog.One Dance!!! One Beat!!!
