Pacman-Floyd fight floats anew

THE fight that fans have dreamed about for so long may just come to fruition as the top two pound-for-pound boxers have once again shown their willingness for a showdown next year.

Pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao and American superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr. are arguably the two best boxers in the world. Although both fighters have negotiated to face each other in the past, somehow they couldn’t reach terms with each other. (more)

  • Floyd Mayweather Sr. said Philippine boxing icon Manny Pacquiao played like an amateur during his last fight and won’t be able to beat his son, Floyd Jr.

    Mayweather in fighthype.com website said “Pacquiao didn’t look too good…That dude is nothing but an amateur. He is not going to whoop Lil Floyd.” (more)

  • I DON’T know about you, but I always admired Manny Pacquiao because of the way he fought with unmitigated intensity and a sense of urgency unseen before, not only among Pinoy fighters but in all of boxing.

    Sure, winning was sweet and without those victories, he wouldn’t be what he is today without those seminal achievements. (more)

  • IN HIS last 15 fights, Manny Pacquiao was a winner. Alas, the last four fights were merely won on points. No knockout. No technical knockout (TKO).

    But I do not fault Pacquiao for the decline in divine victories. (more)
