Biodegradable and non-biodegradable are actually two different kinds of garbage.
Biodegradable materials are those that rot, like all kinds of food, paper, animal poop, plant leaves and other parts of plants and trees. Non-biodegradable wastes are those that do no rot like plastic, glass and metal.
Biodegradable stuff can be made into fertilizers to fatten the soil and make plants grow better. Non-biodegradable stuff can be reused or made into other useful things. That’s right, Kidsters! There are ways on how not to get angry at our classmates, siblings, elders, helpers, or even at our pets. Another way of saying it is there are ways on how to control our emotions.
Even when I am already this age, I still find it hard to control my temper or not get angry, especially when others really make you lose your patience. A relative of mine who lives in the U.S. and is a military man, sent me an email giving tips on how to control emotions.

Because of our recent experience in seeing the dolphins in garbage-littered waters, my brother Lyan and I have come up with earth-friendly tips for kids vacationing this summer.
• Throw your trash properly. — That’s what trashcans are for. Never throw your garbage in seas, rivers, or just about anywhere.
• Keep trash with you. — When riding in a car, boat or plane, or if a trashcan is not available, keep your trash in a small bag or container. Throw it in a garbage can as soon as you get off. Do the same whenever you’re watching a movie in the cinema. A snack bag or gum wrapper can still make a big difference against pollution.
The last days of May will surely be those you should cherish. As the month of June slowly creeps in, kids like you will be busy preparing for another school year.
