Hey Kidsters!
A few more days to go and it will be summer vacation already! Do you have plans on how and where to spend your vacation? Maybe you’re thinking of going out-of-town or swimming. That’s fun! And it is a very relaxing thing to do after months of studying.
But there are actually better things to do this summer to make your vacation fun and worthwhile. Let me give you pieces of advice:
* Enroll in summer lessons and workshops. You can enroll in a dancing, singing, acting or art workshops that will help you enhance your skills. You can also take Karate do classes, piano lessons and many others!
* Do advance studies. To prepare yourself for the next school year, you can read your books ahead. This may sound boring, but doing advance studies will help you understand your lessons better. Plus, you can participate actively during discussions.
* Participate in community activities. Since it is summer, your parish or barangay may have prepared recreational activities for kids like you! Involve yourself so that you can interact with other kids in your community.
* Help your parents at home. Another way of spending your vacation without spending your parents’ money is to simply help them with household chores. Aside from the help you give, it is also a good way to bond with them.
See? Vacation is not only about the beach, out-of-town trips or staying home. There are actually many productive things you can do! Now, how will you spend your summer vacation?
