Lawmaker opposes pine tree cutting in Baguio

IFUGAO Representative Teodoro Baguilat Jr. joined groups opposing the planned cutting and earth-balling of pines trees along the Luneta Hill in Baguio City to give way to the SM Baguio mall expansion.

Baguilat, chair of the House of Representatives national cultural communities committee, said the planned uprooting of some 182 alnus and pine trees is almost criminal. (MORE)

    on my point of view, ittransfer naman hindi i-cucut, bakit lahat ng mga articles naka sulat puputulin.. kaya hindi nakakaintindihan ang both parties eh…

    ang akin lang naman hindi kaya nila pwede gawan ng paraan? mag meet half way.. since SM property naman nadin yung lot eh.. bakit nga ba binenta ng gov’t.

    Nabasa ko sa isang fan page sa FB na sa Monday na raw magkakaroon ng public hearing about this issue. i hope it will turn out okay para naman matapos na to. mas marami ring issues na dapat tutukan ang baguio, nakakatakot na kase minsan lumabas dun pag gabi sa sobra daming gangsters. =(
