DOJ prosecutors to help Comelec in case vs Arroyo

In a statement, Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Leila de Lima said her decision was in response to the en banc resolution of the Comelec promulgated last January 18 authorizing her to designate DOJ prosecutors to try Arroyo and several others for electoral sabotage before the Pasay regional trial court.

Also charged along with Arroyo are former Comelec chair Benjamin Abalos Sr. and detained former Maguindanao governor Andal Ampatuan Sr. (more)
