Seares: Erap poetic justice, vindication
WITH Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo now under arrest, Joseph Estrada seems to be immensely enjoying a reversal of roles.
GMA was Erap’s vice president who replaced him after he was ousted in 2001 by the “people’s protest” Edsa 2. During her watch, Erap was detained for six years when he was tried for and convicted of plunder.
Now the shoe is on the other foot–well, not exactly. While GMA is ordered detained at a government hospital on a charge of electoral sabotage and may face soon six counts of plunder, it’s not Erap giving the orders.(more)
