Hagedorn’s candidacy gets backing

THERE were 28 out of the 51 incumbent city and municipal mayors in Cebu Province and eight former mayors have attended the breakfast meeting with senatorial aspirant Edward Hagedorn. All of them expressed their support for Hagedorn.

Former Compostela mayor Ritchie Wagas said although the mayors came from the different political parties, including the Liberal Party (LP), majority of them are members of One Cebu and their presence in Hagedorn’s breakfast had the consent of gubernatorial candidate Rep. Mayor seeks longer terms for politicians

PUERTO Princesa Mayor Edward Hagedorn is rooting for a longer term for politicians instead of the usual three years per term with a limit of three consecutive terms.

In his visit to Davao City on Saturday, Hagedorn said a three-year term is too short for a good politician to be serving the constituents. He said it would be best if the term be made four years instead of three and with no more limit of three consecutive terms. Read the rest of this entry
