No power disruption in Mindanao today: DOE

THE Department of Energy (DOE) assured Mindanao has enough power supply today, May 13, at 1,322 megawatts (MW), to ensure an uninterrupted and successful Election Day.

Based on DOE’s power supply outlook for May 13, 2013, Mindanao’s available capacity will be enough to prevent power disruption from casting of votes to canvassing of election returns in the island, although it also indicates a thin power reserve from 194 MW to 328 MW. Read the rest of this entry

Comelec successful in cleansing voters list in Lanao del Sur

MARAWI CITY — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has successfully cleaned the list of registered voters in Lanao del Sur.

The number of registered voters in Lanao del Sur went down by 33 percent to 350,268 after the voters registration held last July in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (Armm), said Provincial Election Supervisor Nasib Yasin. Read the rest of this entry
