DAVAO — A Filipino working as a household service worker (HSW), commonly known as domestic helper, in Kuwait committed suicide by jumping off the building where she lived last May 22. MANILA — An overseas Filipina worker was sentenced to death for allegedly killing her employer in the United Arab Emirates, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirmed Sunday. DFA spokesman Charles Jose said Jennifer Dalquez, 28, was meted death penalty by a trial court in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi on May 20. Dalquez was arrested on December 7, 2014 for killing her employer who allegedly tried to rape her. (MORE)
